Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn is an American actress. Her most well-known role was Skyler in the AMC's Breaking Bad drama, and she was the recipient of the Primetime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Female Actress in Drama Series 2013 and 2014. The actress has also appeared as Jean Ward in The Practice, and Martha Bullock in Deadwood. Anna Gunn began acting as an infant at Sante Fe New Mexico. Her family then moved to Ohio and she continued her interest in performing on stage. She studied theatre through Northwestern University and spent a year in the British American Drama Academy. Anna worked in the theatre in the Chicago region for a couple of years prior to trying her hand at TV and films. Anna's first big part was Arden, in Down the Shore. She played in 29 episodes. Anna continued to be guest stars on a number of television series and movies, including Seinfeld and NYPD Blue until the late 90's when she was cast in a regular role in the role of Jean Ward in The Practice. Martha Bullock, a character that she played for a period of two seasons on Deadwood's season two. Skyler is Her Breaking Bad role from 2008. Sully and Deadwood was another film she appeared in. Gunn was also on the stage in a David Schwimmer's production Sex With Strangers. Gunn acted as the character Numbered Days in a four-part audio series that was released in 2022. Breaking Bad is often centered on the relationships that Walter White with his wife Skyler. Their relationship is strained and final break-up echoes the end of Walter White's personal life.
